thanks giving, day 9
this morning i'm thankful for my flexible work schedule.
it's 8:13 a.m. - i've not showered, yet. i have no motivation to get ready for work. i snoozed my alarm for a little over an hour this morning. i was in bed by 11, so i can't really blame it on staying up too late. i'll blame it on the rain. does rain in the morning make you want to sleep in? or is that just me?
rain in december. on one hand, it's nice because it's getting rid of all the traces of snow & ice. however, before i start my evening commute home, the temperature will drop low enough that wet roads will probably just be a sheet of ice. and then later tonight it's going to snow on top of the ice. and, without fail, people will forget that it rained for 12 hours before freezing and be so surprised when they slide on the ice under the snow as they drive like morons.
yeah, not much gratitude in that paragraph. perhaps i'm motivationless and a little grumpy. it's possible.
can i call it an evening "commute" if i'm on the road less than 15 minutes?

You can call it whatever you want. I agree with you about drivers. When I headed back to Indy after Thanksgiving weekend, there were at least 6 rear-end accident. People forget how to drive in snow.
Nope, it's not just you. i love sleeping when it's raining out. (i almost said sleeping in the rain. That's obviously very different, and not as pleasurable.)
It's funny that people forget to drive in snow in places where there's so much of it. Around here, we get very little, so it's a bit more understandable (although frustrating). But how can people forget about how snow works when they get it for 5 months out of the year?
