today is wednesday

i got my taxes done & filed today. (yes, jonathan, e-filed.) getting just enough from the state to buy the sweeney todd dvd & microwave popcorn. thankfully the federal return will cover a good chunk of the tv so i can enjoy that dvd. :)

my kitchen is a big step closer to being organized. i've still got some small things to do ... like get my silverware back from joanie. :) but all in good time.

dave - thanks for the info on the bookcase. the billy system is one of them i want to look at while i'm there. it's so hard to tell from the photos how good "wood" really looks. so i'm looking at that & a solid wood version. the solid wood is more expensive, of course. but we'll see.

my duck pickles have almost all bloomed. that makes me happy.

i got my license plates renewed. saved $5 by doing it online. yay me.

i think the post office has gotten the forwarding of marlana's mail under control. it's been several days since i've gotten anything of hers.

speaking of mail, i need to buy stamps tomorrow ...

the pit fall to living on your own you have to buy your own stamps. oh who am i kidding i steal them from my mom whenever i go over, luckily she tears the roll so she isn't any the wiser that i am doing that but taking the stamps. that was different story with my dad i used to have to steal them and put them on index cards. seriously though why do i think the post office is so scarry? or walgreens for that matter?

Why aren't you getting a good return? Do you usually? I would die if we didn't!! Granted we take a ton out of our checks just so we will get a big return...

Good luck getting the silverware! :0) You should consider it a loss!!

Did you know you can order stamps online and the mail carrier will place them in your box with your mail. It sounds great, but I don't feel like having to create an account so I can, stupid huh? I'll drag 3 kids into the post office, but I won't take 3 minutes to sign up...

my federal return is good. and the state is about what it usually is. indiana's good at taking the right amount out of my checks. i don't think i've ever gotten more than $40 back from them. federal is generally much larger - and it is this year, too. like i said, it should cover a good chunk of the tv i want.
