house photos!
alright, i can't promise these will be as exciting as you're hoping for. but here are a few house photos.
the living room after getting all the boxes unloaded & into the house. there was a little bit of a walkway right in front of the mattresses, but what you can't see is the sofa laying on it's back blocking people from walking through the room.
progress on the living room by the end of day one of unpacking. mattresses are moved into the bedroom, sofa has legs & is sitting up properly. there's even enough room in front of the sofa to sit down & stretch out one's legs. not too shabby for one day.
i know i switched the angle of the photo - but this is the living room currently. yes, i still have a couple of boxes to move out of the way - but the room is pretty much as done as i can make it currently. because of where i'm standing you can't see the two stacks of boxes labeled "books" - but they're staying where they are until i decide what to do about bookshelves.
bedroom photos after painting, before moving in the bed. i'm absolutely pleased with the colors - spiny sea urchin and bonbon. leave it to martha stewart to have the perfect colors. the black cd tower in these photos will, i think, move into the living room eventually.
and this is the kitchen - my next area to tackle. once i get all these boxes sorted & put away i may do something crazy like go grocery shopping & actually cook something. but you know, one step at a time. :)
in non-related and non-photographed news, i got my hair cut & colored today. i think i like the cut ... we'll see tomorrow when i style it for myself. i know i like the color. i do love my red highlights. i also took the time today to print out all the pieces for my own copy of the family calendar i made folks for Christmas. now that i have a good place to hang said calendar, i plan to do just that.

I love the bedroom colors! My two favorite colors...I really like what you did with the doors. It's really pretty!
wow. that's a really big change. it's amazing how simply paint can change a room so dramatically. It's very "becca" and I love that.
I love the bedroom! So awesome!
I never would have thought to switch the front room up. ...well, maybe I would have when I had my stuff in there and I was trying to figure out where things went. (I love the couch by the way, where did you get it? It has a great shape.)
The kitchen picture was funny, I scrolled down and was like 'woah!' Hee-hee!
it's actually not my sofa - it's lynn's. it IS a lovely sofa, though. quite comfy & fun.
looks pretty sweet. email us your address/phone number.
